I was recommended by a friend to come try out this restaurant. This was my first time here and I highly recommend it and I will be coming back. Especially for the fried chicken which was crispy and fresh.

Been hitting up Star-lite in Edinburg off 107. I've tried their regular burger, steak burger, onion rings, and burritos... service never fails to be quick, efficient, and the food is deceivingly simple looking but packed full of flavor. This is the fish sandwich from today...looks fairly innocent until you take the first bite. Check the ratio of fish to bread...and it had 2 filets on there as well. I love tartar, here they go with mayo, which also pairs well with the fish burger. Nicely cooked...the right amount of crisp on it, and very fairly priced. Where else do you find a fish burger for about 6? The answer...no where else. And there was some talk on here about burritos...well I've been digging these burritos since my childhood, over 30 years ago. I remember my parents taking me to eat burritos here as a child, well there's a reason why this location has lasted this long to where I can now take my own kids for a burrito. They are nicely fried, have plenty of filling, and are not dried out. Take notes Stripes...this is how burritos are done. This is an Edinburg staple for a reason...5/5 stars.

Hubby got 2 piece chicken plate, I got the Statlite cheeseburger which was super yummy! AND FRITO PIE...YUM!! Definitely going back when we're in The Valley!

What a gem of a place service was fast, food was great and it was a very clean restaurant. Will definitely go again when in the area. Had the white chicken plate with 2 breasts, fries , salad and a bun 10.

Always do drive-thru, but food is always phenomenal. My favorite is 3 PC fried chicken plate. Always the best homemade fries too. Drive-thru staff always spot on and perfect no matter how busy it's always worth the wait!!!!!

An absolute institution of Edinburg. A classic that has not changed much over the years. I don't live in the area anymore, but when I visit family, I'm sure to make time for a chicken plate. Very nostalgic experience.

It's been a good while since I was younger coming here and grabbing a bite alongside with me dad and sister. Visiting alongside with my brother and sisters, this restaurant is way better than I remembered. The seating area is more welcoming, the service is amazingly great, and the food is phenomenal that we came back for a 2nd time. We might've came for a third. For this small restaurant to be open for more than 40 years, they will do even better and more in the coming years. A definite comeback place to hang and eat.

This place is known for their chicken!! Chicken is always golden brown, very tender, always crispy, and very juicy. Great overall taste. I would say it's better than KFC, churches, and any other franchise out there. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. If you haven't eaten here, then you have more problems than you think. This is a must try if you're visiting the Edinburg area.
